  Your best-bet might be Amazon or eBay, but YMMV. While I agree that transcoding is wonderful, ask yourself first if you need it.   I'm not a apple user myself, but I would like to correct you in one thing, the Apple TV can do lossless sound, it just has to convert/change the container causing a loss of object based metadata. But if you are just looking for 7.1 Lossless, then it can do it if you play with infuse, infuse will convert TrueHD and DTS-HD to PCM which is a lossless format. - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago

  AppleTV doesn't support TrueHD or DTS-HD passthrough, so Plex will have to transcode the audio, reducing its quality, before sending it to the AppleTV.   No, but yes. The Xbox can also pass through lossless audio, but from secondhand accounts isn't a great Plex client and struggles with high bitrate 4K content. The desktop apps/Plex HTPC support lossless audio as well, but you lose out on Dolby Vision (there might be an exception if the device is DV licensed, but those aren't common, and I don't know if Plex would recognize it).
