There are also free options available. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
I use goodbudget.com which is basically an envelope system. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
I use a website called Goodbudget. Works quite well, and it is free up to a point. - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago
Combination of various savings and an electronic envelope system. https://goodbudget.com/. - Source: Reddit / 8 months ago
Yes. For example, aspire or goodbudget. Just create a single category that represents available monies. And spend from it. It'll give you a tally of your available money, similar to Weekly. Weekly is good cuz it tailors the experience around a single category, if that makes sense. The plus side is those two options are free. But no direct import. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Me and my partner are pretty into budgeting; and tried quite a few (YNAB, PocketSmith) but we ended up using GoodBudget. - Source: Reddit / about 1 year ago
Does it have to be an app? Goodbudget works on the web and on two devices for the free version. Not sure if they have a windows app. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I have just started taking a closer look at GoodBudget. https://goodbudget.com/. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Goodbudget: https://goodbudget.com/ Free for the basic package, $60 a year for the full package (so significantly less than YNAB). - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Figuring out how much we would need for unpaid time off was the most important part of that, and it was pretty easy and accurate for us because we have a monthly budget and track every dollar we spent in a website/app called goodbudget. It was really easy to just look at what we spend money on in a normal month and go through line by line to say "Yeah, we can do without that line item for a month, don't need to... - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Goodbudget.com - know nothing of them. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Just cancelled as well. I've been using the products since YNAB3, but after reaching out to customer service to see what options I had, and being told outright to cancel, I decided to take their advice. Going to look into GoodBudget or roll back to YNAB4 for a while. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
There's also other software like goodbudget, buckets, and others which have free/cheaper pricing. I haven't looked too deep into them myself. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
If you don’t need bank syncing I’d suggest Goodbudget. It’s envelope budgeting and free for two devices/web. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I use goodbudget (https://goodbudget.com/) to manage and budget expenditure. This works for me as a 'virtual envelope' to budget money under different categories of spending and I found it very useful. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Http://lunchmoney.app/ is the best one I've used. If you want zero-based budgeting https://goodbudget.com/ is good. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
So, try and track your money for 3 months to see where every dollar goes. You can use a free app like Goodbudget, to track on your phone every dollar you spend the moment you spend it, or if you really want to get into it, the You Need A Budget and Mint programs are highly recommended. They're both paid, but they will do most of the heavy lifting for you. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
I love Good Budget. They have a good free option. You don't have to connect anything. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
You need a budget. You need to track exactly how much money is coming in, how much money is going out, where that money is going, how much money is left, and what you want to do with the money you have. I would recommend a simple app like Goodbudget, it's a free budget app you can download on the phone. It works on the "envelope budget" system, where you have envelopes of cash for each expense, like rent, food,... - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
People on here love mint and YNAB, but you have to connect both of those to your bank account. If you want a simple and easy app to use on your phone, you can download goodbudget app. With it you can create envelopes for each of your expenses, and see how much you're putting into each one. If you track your spending for 3 months like this it will give you a rather good idea. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
I'm looking for a better and simpler budget tracker than mint and came across Goodbudget. I really like the simplicity of the envelope budgeting system and think it could work for me. But goodbudget requires you to enter all your transactions manually - which is enough extra work to make me not use it. Does anyone know of a simple budgeting app/website that'd pull my transitions in automatically? - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
