  • App that doesn't exist showing in start menu search
Get and unzip Geek Uninstaller, right-click geek.exe > run as admin. Look for it there, then select View > Microsoft Store apps and look for it there. You checked both startup folders? Run: Shell:startup Shell:common startup. Source: 11 months ago
  • Good PC cleaner
Geek uninstaller (Removes leftover files from apps you uninstall, to keep your PC running faster over time): https://geekuninstaller.com/. Source: 11 months ago
  • How to remove this directory from files?
Believe it or not, REinstall the MEGAsync application, then right-click the MEGA folder in the navigation pane and remove it. If you can't remove it like that, open the MEGAsync settings > Advanced tab > check the 'Don't show icons in the left pane of Windows Explorer' box. Once the entry in the navigation pane is gone, download Geek Uninstaller, unzip it, right-click geek.exe and run as administrator,... Source: 12 months ago
  • Can't install, uninstall nor repair
There's an app called "geek uninstaller". It can handle stuff like this. Source: 12 months ago
  • Constant need to unplug and replug my audio interface
I have owned one of these since they first came out years ago and it has proven to be extremely reliable even though they can be picky with the wrong/older drivers. Make sure to completely remove the old drivers first by using an uninstall tool such as the FREE Geek Uninstaller - https://geekuninstaller.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Uninstalling programme leaves data files?
FYI for the future - Geek Uninstaller does a very good job of uninstalling software + the extra files in various locations. You are uninstalling applications from the settings menu, yes? Not just deleting the program files folders? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Can't uninstall Assassin's Creed without logging in... WTF is this?
Even with geek? (I'm not working for them, it just works perfectly for me). Source: about 1 year ago
  • This keeps popping up. How do I get rid of this?
Download and unzip Geek Uninstaller > right-click geek.exe > Run as administrator > scroll down the list > double-click McAfee to uninstall it. Source: about 1 year ago
  • uninstall CCleaner error - help
My advice is to download the CCleaner installer and run it to overwrite the current installation. Then download and unzip Geek Uninstaller, right-click geek.exe > Run as administrator > double-click the CCleaner entry in the list. Geek Uninstaller will uninstall CCleaner and the scan for the CCleaner leftovers that are safe to remove. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Merge, organize and dedupe (many hard drives to one)
Together with BleachBit and Geek Uninstaller are the go-to tools in my upkeep routine. You don't need those but just mentioning them. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Any ideas on what this 437GB application could be? I'm afraid it is some sort of virus
You could perhaps try Geek Uninstaller to uninstall it... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Do you occasionally reinstall a clean Windows, "Just because..."?
3rd party uninstallers are a thing that can help a bit if you wish to do full removal. I remember liking GeekUninstaller in the past. Small footprint and did not mess anything up while being fairly reliable with detecting folders/reg keys. Nowadays though I prefer to just use portable versions so all data is kept in single folder and once a year clean up AppData manually. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I can’t uninstall this game
Manually remove it or use a free tool like https://www.bcuninstaller.com/ or https://geekuninstaller.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • I've managed to get synapse to download, but when it tries to start up I get this CMD prompt then it fails. Any way to fix this?
I've only ever used Synapse 2, and don't have any Razer hardware at the moment. I would suggest using Geek Uninstaller first, as it can remove registry entries and junk files as well. Then reinstall Synapse with a fresh download. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Does anyone know how to fully uninstall a game? I'm talking a full wipe as if the game was never on your computer to begin with. Thanks.
Geek uninstaller. Works wonders and cleans up everything left over after a normal uninstall. Source: over 1 year ago
  • OCD with computers or other electronics?
Btw. I can recommend you to download Geek Uninstaller. It's a tiny program which doesn't require installation (just a single *.exe file) which scans for leftover traces and registry files when using it to unistall programs. It has helped my ocd a lot on this point, but it sadly has created a new one too. Now I fear I remove too much and make the system unstable, so I always check the list before pressing delete. • Frustrating cmd prompt window keeps popping up causing fullscreen apps/games to minimize.
So - this isn't normal behavior for Firefox, popping up cmd windows at random. Consider backing up the places.sqlite file, located in C:\Users\M_____a\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\xxxxxxxx.default-release. This is the combined bookmarks and history file. Uninstall Firefox, preferably with Geek Uninstaller (right-click geek.exe, run as admin) to remove all Firefox traces. Reinstall Firefox, open it,... Source: over 1 year ago
  • I was stupid and deleted the game files instead of running the uninstall. Is it still taking up space and if so how can i remove it?
Use the app called Geek uninstaller, it can force remove and delete left over files https://geekuninstaller.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Virus, Malware, or Windows Update?
See if you can remove it with Geek Uninstaller. Download and unzip it, right-click geek.exe > Run as administrator. If it isn't on the first list, go to View > Windows Store apps. Double-click the offending entry and let the uninstaller do its thing. Source: over 1 year ago
  • dumb question, but is there any negative effect of directly deleting the folder of a pirated game instead of properly uninstalling it from the apps section or from the uninstaller in the folder
When you do that it will leave some left over files in the system, such as the system will still think its installed but when you go to uninstall it can fail. I use geek uninstaller and it gets rid of all sorts of left over files, it works better than uninstaller normaller and/or simply just deleting the files https://geekuninstaller.com/. • Can't uninstall bettle.net completely
Did you look in the Games folder? Get Everything, search for Battle. Download Geek Uninstaller. Unzip it, right-click geek.exe > Run as administrator. Check the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE. Source: over 1 year ago
