Actually, they wouldn't need to pay artists at all to make new PFPs. All the PFPs thus far were generated on Artbreeder. Also, before the premium-exclusive "Survival Mode" was removed, there were a couple of unique PFPs to get from it, one being (presumably) an orc. Still, I agree. There really should be more unique PFPs. Source: over 2 years ago
If OP wants to create nice looking character designs and environments, while having zero skills, I recommend artbreeder.com. Source: over 2 years ago
I'd also recommend ArtBreeder for similar NPC-facemaking (or player characters, too!). Source: over 2 years ago

First, I never called myself an "artist". Second yes, they are made from artbreeder.com as it was obvious that I stated in the titles of a bunch of other previous posts. Never once did say "I drew this". Yes, I use artbreeder to edit them but they were made from textures, portraits of people that I know, friends and families and I also had to edit them a second/third time after downloading from Artbreeder so I... I think its because this is made on ArtBreeder, I don't think OP is being truthful about him coding this all lol. Source: over 2 years ago
I generated this with Artbreeder and thought the resemblance was quite close. Source: over 2 years ago
You can use artbreeder.com, though I've heard that the images used to make the ai weren't copyright cleared, so take that as you will. Source: over 2 years ago
Yeah, there is some Sinister Valley effect, because neural network made it. Artbreeder, if someone interested. What can I say, that it is powerful tool to create portraits, but therefore its neural network, so they are not perfect. I think someone can create an entire submod for portraits made by this Computer. Source: over 2 years ago
Http://artbreeder.com uses negative values to increase the image space, so you get more possibilities, more different images. In the future this method can be used as evolution simulator to evolve any kind of content you want, but the latent space needs to be larger, otherwise evolution stops to a "local maximum fitness". Is this a human character? Because if it is, you might try artbreeder.com. You can meld portraits together to create a wholly unique portrait. It was fantastic for finally putting faces to some of my characters. Source: over 2 years ago
Http://artbreeder.com combines all kinds of images to create very strange art, so it has very high expressive possibilities. With larger neural network almost any image can be evolved by making small mutations. Source: over 2 years ago
Major props to artbreeder.com for helping me with many of the photos of SPC's! Enjoy the content! Source: over 2 years ago
Alternative. Go to artbreeder.com and figure out how to use the tools to make an accurate face lol. And repeat step 2. And if it doesn't work, give up. You're gonna be weird if you take it too far or make an obsession out of it. Snap out of it. Source: almost 3 years ago
I know this isn't a handy answer, but I've been stuck with the same issue for a bout a year. My solution was to compromise. I use artbreeder.com to make beautiful alien landscapes (here's an example) and character portraits for my players to use as a visual reference whilst I describe what's happening. When it comes to battlemaps I've just had to resort to piecing together textures from Google Images using roll20. Source: almost 3 years ago
I was very lucky because I did the art, design, writing and layout by myself. Having good aesthetics helped a lot in terms of being noticed...but it's a resource not many have access to. I didn't use it for ARC, but if you need help with images, look up public domain art from art museums as well as generate it yourself thru AI with apps like artbreeder.com. Source: almost 3 years ago
That GAN artbreeder.com - I think its the same thing under the hood as RunwayML though. Source: almost 3 years ago
