  • A list of forum alternatives, should also be created here
A computer gamer will find a community at GameFAQs or IGN Boards for example. And you can have very specialized communities for example for a specific computer game series, or if you're into Subaru Imprezas there's a whole forum for that as well called NASIOC, and many other non-tech topics too. • learning japanese through gameboy pokemon? need help.
NOW!!! Being a Pokemon game, I believe just using the Bulbapedia would help you A LOT. Then I would add an script/dialogue transcription of the game (sometimes you can find them in the "good and old" Gamefaqs. Source: 11 months ago
  • All from the gamefaqs politics board are welcome to post here.
One of these days, this subreddit will get the glory it deserves. Whenever gamefaqs.gamespot.com wants to have some serious political discussions. Source: 11 months ago

For the future gamefaqs.gamespot.com has like pretty much every save file for aa games. Source: 12 months ago
  • AAI 1 save file request
If you need help in the future, look up your game and then save file, gamefaqs.gamespot.com is generally the site you get them from, and use this: Save Converter to change the format, desmume always uses dsv files, and the most common is .sav or .duc so you can convert those to dsv there. • Is there a list of PS2 games that include ESRB?
This is what I use for game info https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/. Source: 12 months ago
  • Mod declares himself 100% good, no other opinions allowed
If anyone can just declare they're totally right about everything, well damn I guess we found the answer to everything. Thousands of years of governments failed where gamefaqs.gamespot.com mods succeeded. It really was that simple the whole time! Source: 12 months ago
  • Which mods are you using (QoL, Performance, dimensions, mobs, etc.)?
I avoid YouTube or video content of streamers or players that try to assist people, if I need help or am stuck on something I return to the archaic ways of https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Humble Novice is talking that trash.
    - apply to moderate gamefaqs.gamespot.com for hours on end, at no pay, treat NDA like a holy document. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Est-ce que quelqu'un qui est chez Bouygues a des problèmes pour accéder à Gamefaqs ?
Depuis hier, je suis dans l'impossibilité d'accéder au site https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/. • Going through the classic Tomb Raiders for the first time. Man, these old games really don't care if you're an idiot. The puzzles are tough.
Maybe not for you. The internet most assuredly did exist at that time, as did the popular walkthrough site GameFAQs. We also had printers back then as well. It was a somewhat common thing for a kid to print out a GameFAQ guide, and in the process use up a bunch of ink. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Method for transferring PS2 saves to Steam Deck (PCSX2)
I wanted to transfer PS2 game save files (.cbs format) from a site like Gamefaqs to the PCSX2 emulator on my Steam Deck. Sounds easy enough, and here's a guy on YouTube telling you how to add save files to a virtual PS2 memory card using mymc but I encountered a few remaining obstacles: * The Steam Deck is Linux based, so mymc doens't run (flawlessly) out of the box, even if you run it with Wine. * I could only... • Whats a game you needed a guide to complete?
I know not everyone got online at the same time, but Gamefaqs has been around for a hot minute, that's all the access I've ever needed. They got bought by gamespot, but still do exactly what they've been doing for 30 years: free user uploaded guides. I found them in I want to say 2002? 2004? Source: over 1 year ago
  • Bf freaks because Gf keeps telling everyone his size

  • how do I get out of this corridor in Final Fantasy 5? I've been pacing back and forth and can't escape. there's one room on each end that only had the exit back into the corridor
I don't know the answer to your question, but may I suggest using GameFAQs for a guide? One of my favorite parts of playing older games is going to GameFAQs for the old .txt walkthroughs. Really feels like a time warp. Source: over 1 year ago
