I use FreeTube also. This is what I am using on my Mac. They have the app for Windows, MacOSx64, and various Linux OSs. No app for iOSs but maybe if we support him he may want to go further. On my Android tablet and phone I am using Grayjay, which also is another alternative. Source: 5 months ago

Yeah, I feel you on not using google. I use a vpn and freetube, its a free youtube client/proxy, where you can DL/watch videos privately, and subscribe to channels without login into youtube/google and watch/browse anonymously.
