Does Fluid[1] work as a solution for you? I’m on an older OS with an older version but I love it for creating single-site apps. [1] https://fluidapp.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
Rectangle Pro can do that, if you pair it with advanced bettertouchtool triggers. But I don't think your solution is optimal, it'd be much easier to create a reddit.com webapp with e.g. fluid.app, make so every reddit link is handled via the reddit webapp using e.g. openin.app, and just store its size and location in app window presets which Rectangle or BTT can do easily. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
Didn't know that about Edge, thanks! For other browsers (incl Edge) Fluid does the same for me (http://fluidapp.com (not affiliated)) After opening a few emails:. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
I use Fluid app for some stuff like this. There's a free version that may suffice. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago
I appreciate your post. I think for your requirements, there could/should be some kind of packaging app for websites like used to exist for "widgets". These seem to exist for macOS, which seems to be precisely the platform that you don't use -- see https://fluidapp.com for example. - Source: Reddit / 6 months ago
You could use fluid or Coherence X and use Alfred - Productivity App for macOS or spotlight to launch them. - Source: Reddit / 7 months ago
Or Fluid which is free except for a few features which cost $5 (https://fluidapp.com/). - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
You can use the free Fluid app (https://fluidapp.com) to turn any single website into its own Mac Desktop application. You should give that a shot if you really want each site to have their own app. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
I don’t have a direct answer, but you could check if Fluid does the job. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
Unfortunately I don’t like Electron, and I did try out some solutions (e.g. Fluid[0]) that don’t use Electron, but it felt best to create a native Mac app with Cocoa. [0]: https://fluidapp.com. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
I prefer Fluid on the Mac, does the same thing and uses the Safari engine. - Source: Reddit / over 1 year ago
On Mac, Fluid makes any web app into a standalone "native" app. It's how I use Fastmail and it works well. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
It wasn’t Unite 4, but I appreciate knowing about it now. It’s an older app called Fluid. At the time it was one or two of its kind, but the dev hasn’t caught up with newer macOS and there are so many competitors know; I imagine they’ve given up. Although if that’s the case, it’s a shame the app is still for sale. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
You can try using Fluid, as it can convert a website into a desktop app. The only major con is that you can't use the app in Full Screen mode. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
I made Orion as a very simple app to learn flutter. I was inspired by Fluid on the mac and I wanted to make a mobile version. Any reviews and advice would be greatly appreciated. - Source: Reddit / almost 2 years ago
