• My biggest fear of becoming resident in Spain: how antiquated is the Spanish tax system?

  I doesn't know across the world: except for stocks since my broker (degiro.nl) is Dutch and reports everything to the Dutch tax authorities. Banks do the same. So there is no manual form filling work left for me to do. If I inherited a mud hut in Zimbabwe from a Nigerian king, then Dutch tax authority wouldn't know of course, unless I reported it.   It doesn't matter where you are resident in the EU. It matters which Degiro site you are using. You said you are using degiro.it , which does allow you to still buy VWCE. If you had used degiro.cz instead, you would not be allowed to buy VWCE. This is why people have resorted to switch to degiro accounts in other countries.   Yes and no, there is no degrio.be but Belgians can use degiro.nl degiro.fr degiro.de and degiro.ie depending on what language they prefer. When you set your country to belgium, the TOB tax will be taken care of, dividend tax remains your responsibility. And technically it is a foreign account so you have to declare it with the national bank and on your taxes. Source: over 2 years ago
