  I've also had great luck at local homeschool fairs and online FB groups, either local or Habitat Schoolhouse specific. Download the Libby app and get free digital books from your library. They seriously have thousands! Or just check if your library has it and reserve it if need be. I really love dealoz.com which is a search engine for finding used books.
