As a 36F, nearing 40, I have been reading and listening to more information about working out at this age and a lot of studies have found weight training to be far more beneficial as you age and cardio actually less helpful and causes more stress to your body. The site is free (not for profit) well done (started by a personal trainer in California) and has a huge range of (almost all equipment free) workouts and challenges, including for people just starting out. For myself, I like to mix things up fitness-wise and would rather do something recreationally as my main high impact activity. Gym settings are not for me anymore. Used to be at the gym 2-3x a week or with a personal training group at the park plus weekly run club. The local running store in town has a free club for members so that was pretty cool. You might go to darebee.com and look at the workout called " Band-It" great illustrations easy to understand, sets and reps are laid out for you. also you might research old school cable and/or chest expander routines just use the bands with them. Hey man! I know the struggle. Though I wasn't quite as heavy as you I was still pretty large, especially for my country. I have issues with my spine and my neck is super sensitive to pressure so I might have a very rough idea of the problem.
