  If you don't already have a creditkarma.com account, set one up now. I would also encourage you to set up a (free) account with Equifax, Transunion and Experian and monitor these *regularly*. Every bureau tracks your credit and scores differently. And often all three are referenced when you're applying for a new account.   You can look at your credit history to see who's done a hard inquiry on https://usa.experian.com/ and https://creditkarma.com/ (has transunion and equifax). • Repairing RUINED credit??

  There are plenty of free credit score provider such as creditkarma.com. For credit repair, I can attest it does work... I too ruin my credit by maxing out limit, then got laid off. I hired a credit repair person, and he was able to remove all the negatives from my report. Those include late payments, chargeoffs etc... Really dont know how they do it, but my score went from 510 to over 700 within 5 months. Source: almost 2 years ago
