If you're using NTFS on the drives, first run your command with /create appended to create the directory tree structure contiguously before copying the data. Otherwise you get directory entry/file copied in pairs, which isn't optimal, especially when thousands of files are involved. You can use Contig to consolidate them if you're already done.
