On Facebook, I often see captions printed on top of the video as a separate block (see example below) which solves my two issues! Unfortunately, the only program I can find to create captions like this is zubtitle.com which is great if you want auto-generated captions that are only available in the language spoken in the video. For transcripts, I use Descript. Descript is able to identify all four of our panel members, and I usually spend an hour or so cleaning it up and setting the transcript into a video for YouTube. Source: 12 months ago
