  • Is there any way to check for differences in 2 drives?
WinMerge can compare folders and tell you if there's any difference in the files. Scanning whole drives might take some time though. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
  • Merging filesystem structure/ files, discarding duplicates
Probably this app fits your needs: https://winmerge.org. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago
  • mysterious increase in file size
If way 1) is way too much to do and too tedious or you don't find anything. The best way in my opinion is to run them through a Diff tool. Such as kDiff3, WinMerge or Meld. I heavily use such tools and they are tremendous help for me (but not for TiddlyWikis yet! But I would use such in your case). - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
  • Anybody know why this happens with some font type.
If you run Windows and don't already have a tool you like to use for tasks like that, I can suggest WinMerge: https://winmerge.org/. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
  • A Don't Repeat Yourself version of Java API documentation?
If there is no Java documentation obeying the DRY principle, then maybe there is another work in the form of a list describing the most important methods, constants and constructors of each class. For example, I have read all the documentation of the BigDecimal class (I used WinMerge to find similarities in descriptions of overloaded methods) and managed to simplify it to these notes:... - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago

  • Ask HN: What problem are you close to solving and how can we help?
Https://meldmerge.org/ might be what you are looking for. But if there are tools which can find duplicated files which are named differently, I'd be interested in learning more about these as well. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
  • Using Git From Vim
For merge conflicts I use Meld as I haven't found anything better yet (for merging I prefer GUI tool, as it happens very rarely and it makes it little easier). - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago

  • Installing latest Marlin?
It seems that config is for 2.0.7, and from the experience of upgrading my config from 2.0.7 to 2.0.8 I don't think this will work. There er quite some new settings, and some renamings. So I think you're better off starting with the official config for 2.0.8 and an Ender 3 and apply the changes needed for the Max yourself. To find those changs I recommend Meld, but from what I know the Max is the same as the 3,... - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
  • Anybody have a clue?
It seems very similar for the rest. If you'd like to check yourself: I recommend Meld for stuff like this. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
