Iterate Reviews

  1. Quick way to Gather User Information

I love working with Iterate because it eliminates the need for bulky 50 question user surveys, live in person focus groups (was lovely during covid when this couldn't happen at all), and sifting through Google Analytics data for 'trends' to answer questions.

We use Iterate because we're constantly testing new features on our site, landing pages with media spend, and messaging tactics. Iterate provides a single script to drop into your source code and then you can create custom branded surveys that keep the user on your site. We've been able to increase conversion rates, launch new products/services and get event/registration hesitation feedback in days/weeks instead of trying to decipher was directional data tells us.

    🏁 Competitors: Survey Monkey, Qualtrics
👍 Pros:    Easy to track data|Guest satisfaction survey|User friendly interface|Embeddable feedback widget
👎 Cons:    Can't use survey buttons to create second step on website

  • Apple allows applications to track user locations without authorization
SSID / BSSID is often enough to pinpoint the location of someone. Recently someone debated this with me, so I asked him what his wifi AP name was, then proceeded to provide their home address. How? By searching it in https://wigle.net. That ended the debate quite swiftly. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • Apple allows applications to track user locations without authorization
IP gives you a rough location (like which city at best), SSID/BSSID can give you street/building level accuracy if it's in a database like https://wigle.net Considering the scale of these apps, I'm guessing they have internal wifi<->location databases with fairly great accuracy. - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • DDos Wifi?
There are also wardriving databases (like wigle.net) that have information about Wi-Fi networks detected by wardrivers all around the globe which may includes yours. Source: 5 months ago
  • I am new to cybersecurity and was trying to access my wifi through wifite to really see if wifite can be used to access wifi without password and this is what i got, can someone tell me what did i do wrong
You can use a site like https://wigle.net/ and type in wifi SSIDs and use it to potentially locate your whereabouts. Source: 10 months ago
  • suspicious individual walking around building
This sounds like manual wardriving and a lot of unnecessary work. Check out Wigle and you might be able to find the answers you're looking for or you can download their app and contribute. Source: 10 months ago
