  I deployed whoogle search at home. For laptops it is rather easy to define it as the default search for alfred and the respective browser, but for iOS devices I have not found a way (except some rather clunky and intrusive extensions) to change the default search engine beyond what Apple tells you.   I use brave, google (for technical subjects when I can't find answer with brave), and for anything that has a remote chance to be censored I use engines with their own crawlers : fireball.de, gigablast.com, yandex.com and other browsers to be sure but I don't think they have their own crawler : lycos.com, swisscows.com, mojeek.com, metager.de. We would need a locally served meta search engine that search on all... Source: over 1 year ago
