• I commend Google for doing the right thing

  Well this was only done because we were promised access to games on the cloud. If they started a new line of products/hardware like the pixel watch and it fails, don't expect to get your $ back. This is a super rare case. It would be like vudu.com shutting down after you paid for 100 movies. I'd expect them to let me download my movies or transfer them to another live service.   So it definitely happens on the HBO Max app from the play store, but does NOT happen when I stream from play.hbomax.com in fullscreen...weird stuff...but also I don't remember ever seeing anything about a 480p limit from streaming apps, and the HBO Max app is definitely higher resolution than that, it looks exactly the same from the app to the website...thanks for the tip though, I guess I'll just use the websites...   They no longer have a free trial directly but you can still get a free trial through Amazon or Hulu. You can also watch some free episodes by going directly to https://play.hbomax.com. Source: over 1 year ago

• Why you have the option for just HBO without max for the same price for max?
