I have downloaded the free license vector file from vecteezy.com - Its a roll up banner design, I opened the file in Inkscape and trying to change the color of the banner but the color does not change when I select the element and select a color under "fill and stroke" or when I select from the bottom color swatches. Text heavy images.. Are quite text heavy 😅. Have you considered using a minimal graphic on each image to sort of depict the story/emotion of the post. It might help break up the feed also. It could be a small graphic that sits inside your image frame, between the text.
