  • Everything I install and set up on a new MacBook as a web developer
If I’m recording a full screen capture for videos, I like to hide the app icons at the top of the screen. I use Vanilla for this. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
  • Free alternative to Bartender besides Hidden Bar on M1 MBP 14"
Vanilla. But here you are sure to find more of your liking. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Free Alternatives to Bartender?
I use (and quite like) Vanilla. https://matthewpalmer.net/vanilla/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Turn off the Evernote Helper
This is a more general solution. But I really like this one to get control over what I want to hide https://matthewpalmer.net/vanilla/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Is there and app to keep Date & Time from dimming in menubar when in focus mode?
BTW, if you just want to hide menubar icons and don't use BTT, Vanilla is a pretty cool app that does this. I actually use it alongside BTT, so Vanilla hides some menubar icons permanently that I don't ever want to see and then I use BTT to only shows those that I want to see at some point. I really appreciate this! Source: almost 2 years ago

  • Arch Linux Forms Emailing Plaintext Passwords
There are no passwords stored plain. The platform that powers the bbs is open source and tiny. You can check in <5 min that it's not doing anything shady here. Source: about 2 years ago
  • nimforum: Lightweight alternative to Discourse written in Nim
FluxBB [1], the PHP based forum that powers the Archlinux wiki works fine without JS, and IMHO looks fine too. If you are looking for something minimal with threading support, fossil scm [2] includes a forum. You can checkout the forum for fossil itself which is powered by fossil. • Looking for a place to find friends?
Also quick suggestion maybe you should look at https://fluxbb.org/ I found it on Arch Linux forums and it seems to work well. Source: over 2 years ago
