Which is odd, usually places actually post the response not just that someone refused. Does that mean it just didn't respond? John Mueller from Google said they are. There was a Search Engine Journal article where he said they are able to catch most of them and make them not worth anything. We have tried web 2.0 vs standard link building and we noticed that Google does devalue a lot of web 2.0 links. As I mentioned earlier - https://meduza.io This source is in Russian/English only, and articles are being banned by government pretty often(but not always they have luck to) but it actually shows internal resistance and hate against terrorist government. If you're interested in reading more about current event in Russia, Meduza is a good source. You will need Google translate to read it though. It's an independent website that used to write about lots of different things, but now mostly focuses on current events. It's been banned in Russia and keeps existing thanks to technically being located in Lithuania. Source: over 1 year ago
