That is common for large files. If you press "Try again", it usually resumes from exactly the same spot. Generally tho, I recommend using a download manager in such cases. I can recommend uGet, it's completely open source and is a frontend for wget. Source: over 1 year ago

Two days ago I enabled SFTP access on port 22 for a friend on a remote location to whom I needed to transfer some files but who likes to use pyLoad, so DSM’s simple file share via web link wasn’t an option. Set up port forwarding in the router, everything worked as expected.
