  1. WOW!

I have been teaching for 28 years and this is the best typing/keyboarding website to help students learn and stay engaged that I have every seen. All of my students Kinder - 5th grade love going on Typing Club. They beg to get on and use it.

  • Learning touch typing while learning to code
Hi. I recently started learning a new programming language on a daily basis. Today I started learning touch typing on typingclub.com however it got me thinking - how can I focus on learning to code while also focusing on not typing like I'm used to (which is without looking at the keys, using all of my right hand's fingers and my left hand's index finger only). Source: 7 months ago
  • Will my typing speed improve?
Did you learn proper typing technique (or something very close to it) by going to typing.com or typingclub.com or some similar website and working through all the various lessons and exercises until you could type without looking at the keyboard? Source: 8 months ago
  • how to move beyond 55-61 WPM ( on average)
I have been touch typing for the last four years ( not FULLY four but always typed if not used a program like typingclub.com). I would rlly love to have a HIGHER WPM but honestly idk HOW to get one. Like typingclub is faar too both difficult and useless for me now. Other websites don't seem as good. I did like Rush Race but everyone beating me half the time is quite discouraging. Overall, I want a more impactful... Source: 8 months ago
  • How do I switch from qwerty to dvorak fast?
If you can type the pangram the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog without looking at your keyboard, then you know where all 26 letters of the alphabet are on the Dvorak layout. That means that you no longer have any need for the beginner websites such as typing.com or typingclub.com or ratatype.com and can instead move onto the second of the two phases of learning to type. The second phase is one that... Source: 9 months ago
  • Should i switch to ten finger typing?
You should absolutely continue learning 10 finger typing on typingstudy.com typing.com typingclub.com or keybr.com or whatever site you're using. Being slow and inaccurate is a temporary state that you go through whilst you're learning, yet everyone who asks the same question as you have phrases it in a way that makes it sound like it's a permanent state that they will never get out of i.e. Their destined to stay... • What websites are best for getting better at typing?
There are sites that will let you "race" directly against one or more other people whilst typing quotes or random words like play.typeracer.com nitrotype.com or keymash.io. Source: 10 months ago
  • Working on my speed by just practicing consistently. Any tips to improve more?
IMO, Monkeytype is the best website for practicing your typing speed unlike other websites such as typeracer.com, nitrotype.com, typingtest.com, etc.... Which are solely used for improving typing accuracy. Also, 10 words mode was born out of Monkeytype, and I guess what Mythical Rocket just did typing at around 400 wpm on 10 words is very satisfying and motivating. Don't get me wrong, kool-keys, but inspiration... Source: 12 months ago
  • Would I be able to get faster at typing? Mid 20s
You can absolutely improve. I'm no speed demon the keyboard, but with consistent practice on first on teaching sites like typingclub.com and then on fun sites like typeracer.com or nitrotype.com I can average 80-90 wpm consistently. Source: 12 months ago
  • Why
Monkeytype is the most visited and has the most traffic typing website (with over 130+ thousand unique users daily) compared to 10fastfingers.com, typeracer.com, typrx.com, nitrotype.com, keybr.com, keyhero.com, etc...., and that's according to https://www.siteworthtraffic.com/report/monkeytype.com. Personally, Monkeytype is really addicting because of its user-friendly layouts (you can choose your own theme and... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Gamification recommendation
If its typing, nitrotype.com works very well. However, for other things, you can also do (just heard about these recently) Kahoots, quizzizzes, blookets, “Escape Rooms”, and so much more. All of these to my knowledge don’t really require much work from teachers other than feeding the answers into the program. Source: about 1 year ago
