Battle for Wesnoth is talked about a lot among open-source gaming fans, but not enough in the community at large. It's a turn based tactical RPG that comes with many scenarios that are full games in themselves. Cross platform, moddable, over 200 different unit types… just an amazing game, all completely free. If you do not want to spend money on gems in Clash of Clans, you can get more resources by using cheats and hacks. You can use a hack to get unlimited gems and develop your village as much as you want. This is a good alternative to spending money in the game store.
