15 Best Twilio Alternatives 2022
Telnyx’s biggest advantage over Twilio is the elastic SIP trunking, which allows you to integrate voice into your applications or even your VoIP tool. This gives you the flexibility to use Telnyx without relying only on their tool.

  • Virtual Phone Number to VOIP (incoming only)
Look into telnyx.com or anveo.com, you can purchase a France DID. Then use any voip app and configure it to connect via sip. If someone calls the DID, it will ring on the voip app. Source: 12 months ago

  • Question about the Ziply modems
You can port your number over to Google Voice and forward it to your cell. Any number of VOIP providers will also work if you want to use an ATA. We have one of our old numbers hosted with Telnyx for a few bucks a month; make sure you setup e911. We use a Grandstream HT802 ATA. Source: about 1 year ago

  • What is the best option for having a reachable phone number and maintaining anonymity?
I'm not 100% certain what you are looking for in terms of "anonymity", but you can purchase/transfer/park numbers at places like voip.ms, numberbarn.com or flowroute.com which can provide you with SMS, voicemail or voice calling. voip.ms is one of the easiest. You can make your outbound Caller ID (referred to as the CNAME record in industry speak) anonymous or to say just about anything within reason. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Unifi Talk - Comcast SIP
Calls are very low bandwidth. With a TINY bit of outbound QoS, your calls should be just fine. I have plenty of clients on Comcast that trunk to other providers like clearlyip.com or flowroute.com. We have hundreds of handsets on FreePBX, and not one uses the ISP for SIP trunks.
