  • [Online] [Other] [Palladium Megaversal] [Tuesday EST 11am/GMT +2 5pm] After the Bomb 1666: The Devils of New Jersey
Other considerations --I'm going to use tableplop https://new.tableplop.com/ for the VTT. Just positioning and potentially rolling dice (I also have a 3d dice room) -- no automation. If you're looking for a theater of the mind game, this won't be a good fit -- I like/enjoy battlemaps and tokens and make fancy ones. Source: 7 months ago
  • A call for desperate help.
I recommend https://new.tableplop.com/ Simple and only took me like an afternoon to get the hang of it. I use dungeon draft for map making and it works pretty good too. Source: 11 months ago
  • keep on the borderlands lets play by post here read for more info.
If the group wants we could use some online service for the visual part of the encounters like this service https://new.tableplop.com/ all narration and reply goes here to keep it play by post. Source: about 1 year ago
  • are there any new VTTs that are good
If you want something simple like Owlbear, what about TablePlop it has the simplicity of Owlbear while having Character Sheets like Roll20. You can send pre typed messages in the chat for rolls, you can do rolls yourself, it even has fog of war. I have been using this ever since it's beta stages and I love it. haven't changed VTTs ever since. Source: about 1 year ago
  • If the best VTT solution was 2 Apps?
Currently on https://new.tableplop.com, amazed that it is not mentioned much. Owlbear with just a little bit more while staying simple. Source: about 1 year ago

  • CC0-licensed fantasy map brushes based on historical cartography
Adding to the other answers, there are also -besides Photoshop, Gimp, etc- specialized tools to draw fantasy maps. The site mentions Wonderdraft [0], but there are a bunch of others though not all of them support using external brushes. Some other tools in this space may be Watabou's tools [1], Azgaar's tools [2], Inkarnate [3], Mapforge [4], or quite a few more which you can find links to in this list [5]. Two, it incentivizes me to be best I can be, as I can as well as enabling me to more easily afford things like Dungeondraft or Inkarnate to create custom maps or battles for you guys! Also I kinda need more food money lol. Source: 9 months ago

  • Temperate rainforest
Erm. What do you mean? Like a map maker kinda deal that lets you place all the plants + details? Inkarnate allows users to make detailed maps of that extent. Source: 10 months ago
  • Blank Map/Grid Asset
As a side note - I have been using https://inkarnate.com/ and it has a lot of cool features for making maps. The Portrait or Landscape options with a 10x13 or 13x10 grid is pretty similar to the hero kids grids and prints well on regular letter sized paper. There's also a huge gallery of maps created by others you can browse through for ideas. There's a pretty limited free version to play around with but if you're... Source: 10 months ago
