    I suppose there are a few sites that hang onto the Web 2.0 spirit. The Hype Machine is a good example, despite no longer having the content it used to...and it's no longer a relevant force in music anymore.     Then as my iTunes library grew in the late 2000s early 2010s, I became obsessed with building playlists. This coincided with finding The Hype Machine https://hypem.com , where I could find new music though oftentimes these were remixes, unless I specifically searched new genres.
