  • Help Setting up SoundWireServer on a Pi! All steps seem to work fine, then at the last step I get "No such file or directory", even though it's there! This is driving me crazy.
Good point, but I did get the RPi version, straight from https://georgielabs.net/. Source: 12 months ago
  • Stream my PC audio through my notebook speakers
I see a lot of software that can stream a desktop audio through a phone, like Soundwire or Audiorelay, but I'm looking for something to use my notebook speakers instead and I can't seem to find one. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Are there better options for broadcasting my desktops audio?
Still only does the audio, but soundwire works over your network so will work as far as wifi: https://georgielabs.net/ used it for months and other than the interrupting voice saying "free version" it was pretty stable and consistent. You can also tweak app settings to either reduce the latency or increase robustness to network jitter. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Airfoil solves HomePods as System Speaker Cut Out issue
Fast forward to this morning when I saw mention of an older audio app called Airfoil in a different context, and I remembered I used this app to cast to other devices ages ago. I see that they support HomePods specifically now and decided to download and give it a try (bonus: my license from 2016 is still valid) It's been rock solid for over 2 hours now.
