  1. One advantage Smashrun vs Strava

Smashrun has one BIG advantage Vs Strava... At Smashrun you are able to correct all parameters of the run (distance, time...) which you can't change at Strava.

  • Strava "Rank My Records"
Https://smashrun.com Does a great job of summarizing data and calls out best runs. Source: 11 months ago
  • [OC] 7 years of running
Smashrun has very similar visualisations. Source: about 1 year ago
  • [OC] 7 years of running
For the lazy people, there is also Smashrun. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I’ve seen a lot of people like me frustrated at Strava moving features behind a paywall. Are there any alternatives remotely similar?
More services to extend with strava: statshunters.com (you get a heatmap and just about any basics stats you could want, all filter-able by lots of different metrics) and smashrun.com (really nice visualizations, stats, and other "fun facts" and comparisons for each run). Source: about 1 year ago
  • Last 5 years of running
Not to draw attention away from OP's definitely awesome project, but smashrun offers a similar github-esque visualizer that connects with Strava or Garmin. OP's product does provide year over year comparison with every day shown which is nice and OP's is just generally better to look at IMO. Source: about 1 year ago

  • Richmond Marathon Report: Nine Weeks Between Training Block and Goal Race
I wasn't sure where to set expectations given my interrupted training, but I decided to aim for 3:03:00, as that's where my Garmin and Runalyze predicted my finish. I planned to set out at a 6:55/mi pace and adjust based on feel. Source: 4 months ago
  • Baystate Marathon Race Report: A "BQ" and a 40 minute PR
Pre-race, Garmin estimated a 3:00:xx, and Runalyze, another great website, thought I'd hit 3:01:xx. This was slightly discouraging, but I know they're just estimates so I didn't take it personally. Source: 5 months ago
  • Using Runalyze to track progress
Has anyone else tried Runalyze (https://runalyze.com) to track running progress and performance? Source: 7 months ago
  • How do you keep track of race results?
Https://runalyze.com/ is a great tool that can do this! Source: 10 months ago
  • A slightly embarassing question...
I'm currently 5'9" and 82kg and just ran a half marathon in 1:47 a few weeks back. I lost weight while training, but started off barely being able to break an 11 minute mile back in October. The 255 would work just fine for you. If you enjoy the data side of things, there are great sites that link up to Garmin (I use runalyze.com and intervals.icu) for more information.
