  • Final Draft on Ipad / Android?
My general workflow for specs is to use a combination of two apps when I’m writing a first draft — I use Highland on my Mac (which is completely great) and Slugline on my iPad. Because they both speak Fountain, you can just cut and paste between them and preserve your screenplay formatting perfectly. Source: 10 months ago
  • What program should I use?
If you're using a Mac, you can keep using Fountain with a professional application. Beat is completely free. Highland 2 and Slugline 2 have limited free versions. I got an old Mac Mini to experiment with Beat and am impressed with it. But I like Linux so use Fountain-Mode in Emacs with 'Afterwriting. 'Afterwriting does produce professional screenplay PDFs. • What are your go-to resources you think every writer should know about?
Personally, OneLook Dictionary is my life's blood; especially the thesaurus version. Writer Duet is also great for screenwriting if you are like me and don't have the brain to remember the formatting (plus I think you can collab with other people on it, like G_Docs? I can't remember). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Do you really need the degree course on tv screenwriting on to write your own scripts? Should I just go ahead and buy 'Final draft' and dive straight in without three years if university screenwriting professors marking my work? I'm a philosophy student instead and love it but am I wrong to be?
Just use writerduet.com, no need to pay for Final Draft. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Help needed for writing
Hello! I am sorry that I post so much lol. I am currently using writerduet.com for writing, but I wanna know if there is a better option? I don't know if this is the correct subreddit or flair. Thank you! Source: almost 3 years ago
