It is fine to use a private email in this way. However, you might want to get your own domain just because it looks more professional. I have a domain set up through siteground.com that's my first initial and last name (e.g., bsmith for Bob Smith—obviously anonymized). My email address is [me@bsmith.com](mailto:me@bsmith.com). My solution, that I started to use probably 20 years ago, is having my own emails & domain on a webhost server. Expect to pay $30 for a webhost, domain name & registration each year.
