Https://mizage.com/shush/ It makes me much more comfortable in the age of WFH. I never know when someone or something might be listening. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
I have been a very happy Shush user for a long time. It's useful for muting myself on Zoom, Teams, WebEx, Meet etc. Without having to remember where the mute button is on each app. Source: over 2 years ago
There's a utility app on macOS that I've used for years called Shush < https://mizage.com/shush/ > that provides a global mic toggle (double tap to invert toggle to speak/mute). Very nice because it works at OS level and is same no matter which app I'm using. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
I’ve kinda made it work by installing an application called MicMute that mutes the microphone with a hotkey, (something like CTRL + ALT + M) then using VIA to map that hotkey to a button on the keyboard. Source: 12 months ago
Hello, I found this program: https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: almost 2 years ago
There's a free app on SF called mutemic. You can bind a keyboard key and have push to talk for your mic. Alternatively you can toggle it on or off as well. When you have the push to talk function you can toggle between always on or off by double tapping the keybind. It's a good compromise until we have the functionality in game. https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/. Source: almost 2 years ago
I think the easiest fix I found right now is to download MicMute app (https://sourceforge.net/projects/micmute/) set it up to function like push to talk.. Then switch your voice activation to open in siege and you should be good. Source: over 2 years ago
But it's kinda hard to find the switch on the cord during gameplay. And the DAC is not that close to my keyboard. I think I would find a way to get a keyboard or mouse shortcut over those methods. MicMute is one app I found and might try if the in-game stuff doesn't work out. This might have bugs too. Source: over 2 years ago
