  • New to RV life
My advice is to search up places you want to visit and things you want to do in any free time you have. This is now your hobby, lol. Use apps or websites like campendium, or https://campgrounds.rvlife.com. Remember that you need to book 6 months to a year in advance for the more popular places, especially public campgrounds and super popular areas like the Florida keys for example. • Tell me about your planning process to book the best campsites- specifically National/state parks with hookups
As for researching campgrounds, campendium is good. I use rvtripwizard.com for planning long routes, and it's sister-site https://campgrounds.rvlife.com/ works pretty well. Source: 12 months ago
  • RV Park Selection
RV Life has a pretty comprehensive campground review section (https://campgrounds.rvlife.com/) that I consider when deciding on places to stay. Source: 12 months ago
  • Overwhelmed and need some advise.
Https://campgrounds.rvlife.com/ Pick a city/area and look for campgrounds. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I would like to get a list of RV parks us rv’rs has been to that should be avoided with name and location and a short description of why. It will help the new people out drastically and even us experienced people who may not have been there yet. So what places to avoid?
Rvparky, campendium, campgroundreviews, camping.com, thedyrt...I could go on but you have Google too. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Best last minute app…
If you're wanting campgrounds then I check recreation.gov and reserveamerica.com. For some state parks, you have to reserve online by midnight the night before. Others you can book same day. Recreation.gov will show you nearby campgrounds that have first come first served but there's always the chance they may be full. Source: 10 months ago
  • Central OR advice
Check out reserveamerica.com for state and federal campgrounds. Also if you search google for BLM (bureau of land management, not Black Lives Matter) , you can find information about dispersed camping. Source: 10 months ago
  • First Camping trip
I've camped about more than 2 dozen NC state Parks. They have great campgrounds. The use reserveamerica.com for reservations. Source: 10 months ago
  • Is camping through American cities realistic?
You can check thedyrt, hipcamp.com and reserveamerica.com to see what your options, if any, are in various cities. Source: 12 months ago
  • Tell me about your planning process to book the best campsites- specifically National/state parks with hookups
Yes, recreation.gov for reserving most federal spots. Some NP have private vendor operating their campgrounds (e.g. You have to use https://www.xanterra.com/ for Yellowstone). Over here in North Carolina, our state parks use reserveamerica.com and many other states use it too. I've not had too much trouble with reserveamerica nor recreation.gov - other than some sites being tagged incorrectly (tent only but not... Source: 12 months ago
