Its not free but Rhinoceros 3D is a great CAD program that is very intuitive to learn. You can import pretty much any 2D or 3D files. The 2D aspects of use are very similar to Adobe Illustrator but with more control. Source: almost 3 years ago

He did stream live critiques, not just for jewellery, but don't know his current schedule. You could join his discord and ask for more detail there. Zbrush is the gold standard and it's not cheap. It has recently switched to subscription only. Zbrush also offers a stripped down free version for beginners and dabblers called Zbrush Core Mini.
