If you're wanting campgrounds then I check recreation.gov and reserveamerica.com. For some state parks, you have to reserve online by midnight the night before. Others you can book same day. Yes, recreation.gov for reserving most federal spots. Some NP have private vendor operating their campgrounds (e.g. You have to use https://www.xanterra.com/ for Yellowstone). Over here in North Carolina, our state parks use reserveamerica.com and many other states use it too. Looking for boondocking spots near Kingman AZ (50-75 mile radius around there is fine). I've checked out freecampsites.net and ultimatecampgrounds.com and the US public lands app but wondering if anyone has that "treasure" spot they would like to share.
