  • Apple Refurbish Price Increase?
Prices are back to what I expected on refurb.me. I'm not sure why they reported these numbers, but... Sanity restored. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Apple Refurbish Price Increase?
I often use refurb.me to track availability of refurbished Macs in the Apple refurb store. I just checked the pricing of the M1 Minis, they're all out of stock, but the pricing is higher than before. Source: over 1 year ago
  • [MKBHD] M2 MacBook Air Review: More than a Refresh!
I'm curious what you mean by that. I think Apple refurbs are fantastic and I buy them when I can (for work, personal, etc.). I think other brand's/third-party refurbs give that category a bad name, but I would definitely recommend Apple's to anyone. However, they have spotty availability so it's not like you can just order one any time you want (hello refurb.me notifications). Source: over 1 year ago
  • Questions about equipment.

  • 2020 M1 MacBook air screen looks like this out of nowhere, after watching videos on youtube. What happened/ How do i fix it?
Any mac Apple offers becomes available from Apple as a refurb, direct from Apple, for significantly less than the identical new item. Anywhere from $150 to several hundred less, as you climb the price tiers. Https://www.apple.com/shop/refurbished Recent models pop in and out of refurbished availability; the great website refurb.me lets you set up alerts for when the one you want becomes available. • Should I get an IPad now or should i wait for next year?
iPads are reaching end of cycle so new ones coming out "soon", maybe early next year, so might be worth to wait a little. The standard place to check schedule and rumors for estimated Apple product release dates is https://buyersguide.macrumors.com/. Source: 4 months ago
  • Should I get the iPad Pro or iPad Air?
Neither. Wait a little, product line refreshes are imminent if the rumors can be believed. See https://buyersguide.macrumors.com. Source: 4 months ago
  • Apple unveils M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max, the most advanced chips for a PC

  • Apple may be planning a surprise October iMac announcement
Based on their prior history, iMac do appear to be updated every 2-years. https://buyersguide.macrumors.com/#iMac. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
  • PC shipments decline slows in Q3 2023, but Apple plunges over 23%
It's funny, the Studio Display runs on an A13 processor (iPhone 11 equivalent) and could basically be a computer if they wanted it to be. But no, if you want an all-in-one you get a 24" iMac that hasn't been updated in nearly 3 years. Longest update cycle since at least 2014 and it's not close https://buyersguide.macrumors.com/#iMac. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
