My Experience Yesterday With 911
The average 1 bedroom rent is $1760 a month, according to zumper.com. To afford an average 1 bedroom apartment in Denver and not be rent-burdened, you need an income of $5280 (heh) a month. $3541.66 a month supports a rent of no more than $1180 a month. RentCafe says that less than 1% of apartments are available at less than $1k a month, and while they don't have a breakdown for $1200 a month, they do say that... Source: about 1 year ago
