I was really disappointed with the Rapid API buyout, but anyway, the client for Mac seems essentially unchanged, is the good news. Since FastAPI is just a web framework, it can be used with nearly any DB/NoSQL DB framework that supports Python and your O/S and database driver of choice. Others have mentioned MongoDB and associated PyMongo derivatives, which is probably going to be your main option.
