I play guitar, and I do use Audition for recording ideas and putting together basic demos and writing , but the options for keeping rhythm are limited. You can set the Time Display to bars and beats which is helpful (especially when Snapping is enabled), and of course you can always just import a drum loop or pre-recorded drum track to play along with.
