Plus Codes by Google might be a bit more popular than Trips by Tesla. We know about 8 links to it since March 2021 and only 6 links to Trips by Tesla. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
For more on this, and why I think we shouldn't advocate for W3W, see: https://shkspr.mobi/blog/2019/03/why-bother-with-what-three-words/ for theoretical reasons and https://w3w.me.ss/ for some practical examples. https://plus.codes seems much better, but sadly it uses numbers instead of words, which are much harder for humans to remember ( https://xkcd.com/936/ ), so I don't think it will ever catch on. I wish https://plus.codes/ took off. The benefit compared to what 3 words is that you can use the closest city to give directions and cells next to each other share the bigger cell name. Source: over 1 year ago
And an additional shoutout for https://plus.codes/ from Google. Source: over 1 year ago
New to this so sorry if this is stupid. I've been trying to use https://plus.codes to try to check an address for availability at starlink. Whatever code I put in, it simply tells me afterwards "please enter an address or a plus code". That website seems to give me either a shorter or a longer plus code. Neither of them seems to make the starlink website happy. When I try putting in the address, it doesn't like... Source: about 2 years ago
Https://plus.codes/ is really helpful it allows you to select areas by plus code so you can do fine incrementing once you locate an active cell to locate it's edge. Source: over 2 years ago
Thank you for the reply. It was Atlanta to Roanoke, VA. Just attempting to get a ballpark of time given I make that trip relatively frequently. I've used tesla.com/trips, which seems to work, and I was surprised to see the car's navigation give the wrong miles. Source: 9 months ago
Just wanting to know if there are Tesla super chargers available on the Island. The Tesla Trips map shows nothing, but Google says there are a few Tesla brand as well as generic EV chargers. Source: 12 months ago
You can see all the superchargers at https://tesla.com/findus they don’t have the cost on the website. You can also look at https://tesla.com/trips. Source: about 1 year ago
This is a feature suggestion but I think Tesla should allow you to plan your trips and see what supercharging stops it would take all from within the app. You can do this somewhat in the web tesla thing, tesla.com/trips but I would like to see some implementation of this in the app, it would make it much easier to plan and once you're ready, you can share it directly to your tesla. Any thoughts? Source: about 1 year ago
You can go to https://tesla.com/trips And get an idea. For example to go from Ely to see Aunt Betty in Medora ND it has you stopping. Source: almost 2 years ago
