  • Part-DB: open-source inventory management system for your electronic components
PartsBox founder here. I get asked about this sometimes, so I'll answer here: I'm quite happy with open-source solutions appearing in the same problem space. I bought ECDB, but left the open-source software available on GitHub for anyone who wishes to take it further. My software will not be open-source for a number of reasons, most importantly I cannot afford to take on the chores of a project leader/maintainer.... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago

  • Shout out to my fellow nerds! I'm starting a free public parts library for electronics to save a finite resource. Chips are amazing and useful for repairs or making new things but lots of surplus goes to landfill or is crushed into dust to reclaim any valuable stuff. HMU if that's up your alley!
Pretty nice to see a screenshot of PartsBox (https://partsbox.com/) as the main concept illustration :-) (I'm the founder, so this is my software that is shown in the picture). Source: almost 2 years ago

  • bookkeeping, inventory tracking, accounting
Have you tried Craftybase? They have a 14 day trial. FYI - at the bottom of their page, they list their competitors if you want to research other companies. My one issue is that they don’t integrate with EBay. I only sell maybe 4K a year on it but I’d like to keep track of the inventory. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Accounting?
I use craftybase.com to track inventory and manufacturing. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Helpdesk "Helpscout" tool blocked
I use craftybase.com and they use a helpdesk tool called HelpScout. I had to whitelist (\.|^)helpscout\.net$ to allow it to work. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Printer ink & COGS?
If the transfer paper is part of what you send the customer again by the purest definition it's inventory. Checkout craftybase.com it's been indispensable for me as a small manufacturer (I have no relationship with them other than as a customer). Source: about 2 years ago
  • How do you keep track of finances?
If you manufacture stuff craftybase.com is really useful as it helps track not just normal expenses but inventory costs/cost of goods sold for taxes. It also will import everything from Etsy. Source: over 2 years ago
