   It provides a zoom, which is cool, not that useful but cool. Mojang doesn't like capes not made by them because they're meant to be special but there is a OptiFine cape section, not one for Lunar therefor I believe Mojang is very much ok with Opti. Also Lunar is overrated and Opti is just a small boost. Lunar has unnecessary features.

   👍 Pros:    Zoom|Cape with banner|No payment besides cape|Can run shaders and texture packs

   👎 Cons:    Cape is $10

  Second thing is don't download a mod to reintroduce 1.8 pvp behavior. Just use the real 1.8 version. You'll have a much better experience since the 1.8 is much more lightweight meaning you'll get more FPS in general. It is also hypixel's native version meaning you'll have less delay between clicking and having a hit come through because hypixel's multi-version-plugin doesn't have to translate everything first.   Looks like your Mac doesn’t have enough RAM to run Minecraft properly. What might help: use Badlion Client or any other launcher where you can limit RAM for Minecraft. The experience might be worse but maybe you can get rid of the popup. Source: about 2 years ago

• Minecraft runs like shit for no reason

  Minecraft is a surprisingly poorly optimised game. I have a GTX 1070 and an i7 10700k and without optifine I run at around 60fps max settings. I suggest installing the client Badlion: https://client.badlion.net/. It's known for boosting FPS and you have many different choices in boosting fps and such. Also if you want to increase FPS, I suggest turning off all animations. They can reduce FPS quite badly. Source: over 2 years ago
