  Old-time TV used to have ads for alcohol, cigarettes. Late-night shows, sometimes risky in europe (i.e. tits) had ads, lots of them. Google + Facebook, like the puritanest of the puritan americans have made that a no-go. It's not clear who decided it first, but basically anything that the local church might frown upon has become unmonetizable and unadvertisable.   I know a lot of you probably do not care that AltspaceVR is going away in March but I will miss it dearly. I then made the switch to GearVR in 2017 and had great fun playing cards against humanity until they ended mobile support. I still visited occasionally the past few years on...
