OpenPhone Reviews

  1. Easy to use, and just what we needed!

I needed a 1800 number for my business, and paying for a second phone line and getting a second phone is overpriced for what I needed. for 10 bucks a month, OpenPhone allows me to have a 1800 number right on my own cell phone through their app. So my personal calls don't get mixed up with my business calls. The app is easy to use, has a voicemail feature, and call forwarding for when I'm out and don't want to use data.

👍 Pros:    Easy to use|Cost effective

  • Near a Cheap Alternative to PublicMobile
I usually use VOIP with openphone.com and use her phone when I am on the go... But now need a phone for something simple and was looking to sign up with Public mobile for the $15 / month my wife had, but NOW ITS GONE!!! Dang those bastards. Source: 11 months ago
  • Need a permanent USA virtual phone number or virtual simcard capable of receiving sms when connected to DATA and/or WIFI. As cheap as possible.

Would be happy to talk to you about it directly and show you a demo. Feel free to book a demo here or you can email me - dk at openphone.co. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Google Fi drops US Cellular as an official network, but service still accessible
Google still lists network switching as a thing on the Google Fi home page: Https://fi.google.com/about. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Why eSim only is a terrible idea!
I know it's not as cheap as your current carrier, but have you considered moving to Google Fi? They currently don't support 5G on iPhones, and they're probably a bit more expensive than your current plan. However you could just use the Flexible plan when you're mostly using WiFi and only upgrade to Unlimited Plus when you're traveling. In my experience, Google Fi has great support internationally and they allow... Source: over 1 year ago
  • T-Mobile will start charging a $35 fee on all new activations and upgrades
I've been using Google Fi for many years and don't plan on switching. Since I don't like using my phone or use much data, this has been a good cheap plan to use over the years. https://fi.google.com/about/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
  • Anyone using Google Fi for phone service?
I have US Cellular and coverage is really spotty where I live, rural Penobscot County. Google Fi looks like a solid option, but I want to hear about how it works here before I take the plunge. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Study Abroad
I use Google Fi https://fi.google.com/about/ Internationally and Domestically, it works in 200+ countries. Check and see if your existing phone qualifies also they give you a free SIM. Source: over 1 year ago
