  • Question unrelated to Cellmapper.
Hi, I found this website and it linked to this site and it seems to do a similar thing to cellmapper. I was wondering if it was any good, the people here in the reddit seem to know what their doing so I was just wondering. This is a legit question, I am not trying to advertise. If Y'all want me to delete the post then I will. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
  • What these 16 USB internet sticks are doing there?
You can check how precise your current cell towers are with Wigle (App) and/or OpenCellID, for example. - Source: Reddit / 4 months ago
  • Trying to locate a cell tower
I also attempted to read data from OpenCellID, however I found that apparently OCID has a lot of bad data (Primarily data listed under the wrong carrier). For example with OCID I told it to list the 10 T-Mobile towers nearest to me and only 6 of the results were actually T-Mobile. - Source: Reddit / 5 months ago

  • Above is my 2017 5k iMac and below is my M1 Macbook Pro. Both running on the same wifi network, yet the M1 is showing significantly slower speed. Can someone help me fix this?
I wouldn't say public data is a privacy risk, you just have to be careful to hide your home address and network address from unknown people :) Here is the site: https://wigle.net. - Source: Reddit / 24 days ago
  • Free wifi.
Use wigle to find where they life and play with their network. Pretty sure people dont change wifi or admin passwords when they upgrade. - Source: Reddit / about 1 month ago
  • Saw this through the window of a small business lol default SSID and password exposed for the world to see lol. Human error will keep us white hats employed 😁
I'll use https://wigle.net/ to find their location😉. - Source: Reddit / about 2 months ago

  • What kind of advertising data can be gotten from IPv6?
Websites can get the routers IPv6 address by running a tracert to the client. After they got the mac address, they can fill the mac address (sometimes you need to add 1 or 2 to the last oclet) into online wifi location tools (like wigle.net) to get a very precise information about someone's location. - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
