Cutting out the middleman in other types of transactions, such as real estate or event tickets, or anything else that's one-of-a-kind is one of the advantages. The NBA and Mark Cuban are avowed "fans," so I'm guessing it'll start there before moving to other sports and then the arts and music industry/other events like Crypto Punks and PaperMen. Think about collectables in the real world, and imagine how they could possibly work in the digital world. For example, people collect trading cards for various sports, and there is 1 owner per card who can trade/sell the card to others. How would you facilitate this idea in the digital world? The closest I've been able to come in an hour is using the balldontlie.io API. I can manually set the URL to get the day's scores but I'm struggling to come up with a way to split the new Date() function so that it only returns YYYY-MM-DD instead of YYYY-MM-DD HR:MN:SS +0000.
