Myki Authenticator mentions (5)

  • How do free password managers compare to paid ones?
I've used Myki for nearly a handful of years now (on Android, IOS and macOS) and it has been great for personal use. Source: about 2 years ago
  • My 2022 Productivy Suite
💸 Free Bitwarden is not new to me. I have used it before switching to MYKI last year. However, MYKI broke completely on my PopOS machine and after speaking with the devs via Reddit, I was not getting anywhere and kind of needed my credentials. Looking at the Free options in the Password Management department, there aren't many options out there. Bitwarden is safe, open source, and cross platform. I decided to... - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago
  • Pixel 5a: first 24 hours
I've been using Myki for passwords (on Android, , iOS and macOS) for a while. Only syncs locally between authorized devices rather than storing anything in a cloud. I do not use the browser plug-in with it... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Are usernames and passwords wrecking your simple living vibes?
I was using LastPass for years and years but recently switched to Myki ( https://myki.com ) when LP suddenly changed (i.e. crippled) their free version. LastPass was feeling kind of slow and clunky to me of late anyway and I was increasingly finding that it didn't work with a lot of my Android apps. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Anybody else get spammed 6-digit twitter codes? Was I being hacked?
I've had loads of these, funnily enough from all my suspended accounts. Maybe it's a password breach, no idea. Worth changing password and enabling 2FA either way, as u/CoreDreamStudiosLLC said. (I recommend using Myki, too). Source: almost 3 years ago

YubiKey mentions (10)

  • Regarding Yubikey
People refer to blue keys as 'old' but yubico.com is clear...Security Key Series has been updated to black in 2023 with the same features as the Security Key Series in blue. Blue keys only available through partner sites. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Can't log in on mobile – Yubikey 5C NFC
Sorry if this has been asked a lot already - I've tried searching yubico.com and this subreddit, but I haven't found a fix for it. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Why passkeys from Apple, Google, Microsoft may soon replace your passwords
And this is what passkeys fix. So instead you get your parents a set of yubi-keys for their access to 1-pass. * Whenever they are using a known machine (their laptop, phone, etc.) an biometric+device security is used, that's your 2FA. * When in rare machines, or doing things that are probably not ideal (like trying to load and read account information stored in the password manager) they'd have to pull up... • First Yubikey lasted almost 10 years, here’s hoping for another 10!
You know how sites ask you to use 2FA by texting you a code and having you put it in? It lets you do that by pressing the gold button on the front. It's better than using phone multifactor authentication, because it's possible for hackers to either trick you into giving them 2FA codes (There's a video on the front page of yubico.com right now explaining how that can happen), or to manipulate your phone carrier... • Google Authenticator
Not a solution to your exact problem, but since you're already in this pickle, I recommend getting a couple security keys (Yubikeys directly from yubico.com). You can then use Yubico's authentication app + security key which works with any service requiring an authetication app (including CDC - this is what I use). It's much easier to restore and a lot more secure. Source: over 1 year ago
