FT2 was pretty much my intro to making music, it came on a PC Format magazine cover CD with a a bunch of XM/MOD files and it blew my mind that I could open up these songs and see how they were made! I think a PO33 is a great sampler and I love it (I made some videos with it) BUT if you've never made any music you'd better start with a DAW like FL or Ableton, Cubase ecc.. I recommend also Fast tracker II (https://16-bits.org/ft2.php) which is free, It's a great piece of software that can achieve a lot.
