  1. Student-

Hands down the best photo calculator out there. I can easily input whatever equation and get the answer. The premium subscription is genuinely very helpful and will break down problems step by step, especially if you need to show your work ;).

  • [Algebra I] Solving quadratic equation
Apparently, the solutions of x2 + 3x - 4 = 0 are (1,-4) according to Udemy the tutorial I follow and mathway.com and even ChatGPT. So I assume this is the correct answer. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I have a radiance problem that should be easy.
So I'm working on this problem and I was so sure it would be easy as it gets. T = 2π/ω = 2π/357. However, the book implies that's all I need to do. I tried doing it with radiance on my calculator and a decent online one mathway.com but I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong. There has to be one thing I'm missing or don't understand and the book didn't say. Source: about 1 year ago

  • All desktop calculators are wrong, so I had to build my own
I personally really like using speedcrunch[1] as a desktop calculator, and it’s cross platform. It’s not doing pretty print though. Otherwise it’s wolfram alpha[2], but that needs internet. I never type calculations in any search engines, but that’s way too slow compared to speedcrunch. Maybe I feel similarly to chalk using a web view compared to how electron apps are seen by some. Displaying inaccuracies is neat!... - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
