The proper solution to tests sharing state would be randomization. Unless we are locked to real hardware - even then there is virtualization - we can randomize anything. This is essentially a watered down version of the "MVC" architecture. I use http lib of node for server and requests, cheerio for webscraping and Sendinblue for sending the emails and mongodb (atlas) for storing all of the data.
