as of october 25 2021 this no longer works as it did. they changed servers and lost contracts with the big 3. this is complete unusable garbage. oh ya, they raised the price from 90 to 120 a month for garbage. do not buy, they do not care, go starlink go.

  • Visiting NYC from London. A few questions...
For 2, it’s not widespread, but https://link.nyc is about as close as you are going to get (along with assorted businesses, like Starbucks or McDonald’s, offering WiFi.). Source: 12 months ago
  • Visiting NYC from London. A few questions...
LinkNYC is prevalent in midtown, while scattered elsewhere. Look for the big gray kiosks with screens showing facts about NYC, ads, etc. I haven't used them in a while, but info can be found here: https://link.nyc/. Barring that, you'll find all the local coffee shops have wifi. Source: 12 months ago
  • How do pre-paid SIM cards work in the US ?
Link.nyc has thousands of kiosks throughout the city. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Wifi Hotstops during covid
This isn’t a great option, but it is an option. I would take a walk around to some of these Link WiFi locations and see if any have benches nearby for you to use. Source: about 3 years ago

Suggest you get the MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM7690 and you can contact ubifi.net and get a 500GB Verizon plan for $149.99 a month. Source: about 2 years ago

What do you mean by "unconventional"? When I ordered, The guy did it all over the phone for me, I was told I had to buy a modem from them or I could trade mine in for the same since they are not allowing new devices on the network. I traded a Netgear M1 Nighthawk for a Mofi router they had already activated. He even sent me a T-Mobile sim and att sim so I could see what worked best. I went with ATT since they had... • Ubifi service is crap now
I got service with ubifi.net about 4 months ago ( Tennessee ). Things were going great until they changed to these new sim cards, I was told by another provider they changed service to go through their own APN and it was to slow everyone down and caps data. After changing the sim to the new one ubifi provided I sat for 5 days with on and off service with a 1000ms ping the whole time. Iv updated the firmware and... Source: over 2 years ago
